As we eagerly approach Reminisce Trance 2023, the burning question on everyones lips "Who will deliver the unforgettable countdown?"
After numerous, intense deliberations at Reminisce HQ, our choice is none other than the great Steve Bleas.
His 2022 trance set at Reminisce garnered an avalanche of praise, leaving no doubt in our minds that he is destined to craft something extraordinary for our devoted Reminisce fans.
You can check out that legendary set on SoundCloud here:
For anyone who's not clued-up on Steve, let's fill you in. This guy's been killing it as a DJ and producer for over 20 years and is a staple of the Australian electronic music scene.
His sets are all about those unique, melodious sounds and driving bass lines. It's clear this man's got a deep-rooted love for electronic music - probably something to do with growing up on a healthy diet of trance.
Back in 2016, Steve seriously ramped things up with his techno EP, Annex & Nuke, dropped on Recovery Collective. That little beauty even grabbed the attention of the EDM crowd globally, with a cherry on top when Deadmau5 blasted it on BBC Radio One.
Here’s the great man playing Steve’s cracking tune on SoundCloud below:
Steve's been riding the wave since, pumping out more bangers like 'Repent' for UGenius Music, and an epic remix of Foreign Prospect for Recovery Collective.
His signature sound and relentless productivity scored him a gig with Berlin techno label, Complexed. And let's not forget, his track 'Altitude' even made it to #38 on the top 100 releases in November 2017.
Steve's been throwing down killer sets in the Aussie club scene for the past two decades, earning his stripes at spots like Fabric, Room, Qbar & 161.
From there, he became a regular face at some of the biggest Aussie festivals – we're talking Summadayze, Two Tribes, Gods Kitchen, and Defcon.
No wonder he's always top of the list when it comes to festival line-ups.
Among other DJ's, Steve's a bit of a legend for his technical chops. He's supported huge names like Above & Beyond in Mykonos and Sander Van Doorn, and had tracks spun by icons like Armin Van Buuren and Marcus Schultz.
Despite all this, Steve's somehow managed to stay under the radar. He's one of Australia's best-kept DJ secrets.
But don't be fooled - those in the know realise his talent is out of this world. Steve Bleas is a true veteran of the industry, loved just as much for his live sets as his innovative production skills.
Trust us, once you've experienced the magic of Steve's Reminisce set, you'll be hooked. Like many of us in the business, he'll quickly become your new favourite Aussie DJ.
