Reminisce Carnivale 2021 Artists

Reminisce is back again in 2021 with a brand new event –  Reminisce Carnivàle!

Under the big top at Flemington Racecourse on September 19th, we’ll be counting down the top 50 dance music records of all time, as voted by you.

Expect an explosion of colour, craziness, mind blowing production, performers, artists, food trucks, rides, special surprises and of course – the best tunes you’ll hear all year.

Check out all the info about our full lineup below!

The Presets

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The Presets are bringing their FULL live show to Reminisce Carnivále, with a face-melting energy and a set list to match, trawling through their entire back catalogue of hits from the past 20 years. A mish-mash of electro, rock, techno and pop, infused with plenty of disco – it promises to be a set that will go down in the history books as one of the greatest ever.

A pair of avant-garde Aussies who, while forging a musical path that wouldn’t be unfamiliar to acts like Daft Punk, Nine Inch Nails, and The Faint, don’t mind dragging disco along for the ride. They met in the 90’s at Sydney’s Conservatorium of Music where they would compose classical music by day and dance to acid house by night.

Since their debut in 2005, they have blessed us with unforgettable electronic dance hits with hits like ‘My People’, ‘This Boy’s In Love’, and ‘Talk Like That’ to name a few, and are still going strong more than 15 years later with their latest album Hi Viz released in 2018.

Recognised as key players in the dance music explosion in Australia in the late 2000s, the duo has remixed tracks for several other artists including Kings of Leon, Silverchair and Lenny Kravitz, and have won a whopping 16 awards across their musical career with 6 of those being for their iconic 2008 album Apocalypso.

John Course

The man who has delivered all nine Reminisce countdowns and countless memories for house music fans around Australia and the world over the past 30 years will be back once again to take you through the Top 50 Dance Music Records of all time, as voted by you.

Between winning back to back DMC world DJ titles, mixing multiple Ministry Of Sound Compilations, playing to monster mainstage crowds at festivals such as Sensation, Future Music Festival, Stereosonic and Summadayze, John also heads up Vicious Recordings – the label collective that unearthed Dirty South, Avicii, Peking Duk & Madison Avenue (just to name a few).

There’s not really much more that needs to be said about the king of Australian house. The best thing to do now, is to watch and to listen 👇🏽

John Course drops #1 – Silence at Reminisce 2021

Northeast Party House

Since forming in Melbourne Australia in 2010, Northeast Party House began playing at warehouse parties and local venues and quickly gained a following based on their reputation for delivering high-energy live shows. After a demo version of the band’s track ‘Dusk’ gained instant popularity, they won triple j’s Unearthed competition and were invited to play at the Pyramid Rock Festival 2010.

Northeast Party House – Dominoes (Live at The Forum)

These five young guys – most still in their early 20s – have brought the party to stages ranging from the Falls and St Kilda festivals to national support slots for acts such as Jungle Giants, Midnight Juggernauts, and Ball Park Music. They have built a cult following thanks to their electrifying live shows, and songs combining the heady exhilaration of dance music with pop hooks and rock backbone.

Generik

Flourishing in his second home on the palm tree clad strip of Hollywood Boulevard, DJ / producer Generik (a.k.a Tyson O’Brien) has been embracing the LA lifestyle and the never-ending summer. 2018 saw Generik remix Halsey’s monster hit ‘Bad at Love’ into a piano house anthem & Dillon Francis’ heater ‘Hello There’ into a vibed out groover paving the way for an explosive next few years.

Generik has claimed previous ARIA Club Chart No1’s including radio additions, with his summer renditions ‘The Weekend (feat. Nicky Van She)’, ‘Late at Night’, ‘So High’ and ‘Be There’ featuring the silky vocals of A*M*E (also featured on Duke Dumont’s Need you 100%) garnering status in the Shazam,Spotify Australian and US viral charts.

Tom Evans

Tom Evans is the talented DJ who hails from Melbourne who for the best part of 10 years has been endearing himself to the masses, propagating a cult following and subsequently performing at most of the local clubs, festivals, backwater bars and bikie haunts.

Throughout his stellar career, his unprecedented talent and skill behind the decks, and eclectic track selection has led to play at every major electronic music festival to grace the state of Victoria, as well as being a feature at the hugely successful Likes Of You parties.

Tom Evans Killing it at discoBox’s Warehouse Party 2021

With originals and remixes across some of the finest labels in House music – Cr2 and Bunny Tiger to name a few – and his latest release ‘About A Place’ on his own imprint Valiant Records hitting #1 on the ARIA Club Chart, there’s no doubt that Tom is one Melbourne’s greatest success stories to emerge from the techno scene.

What Is Reminisce?

If you’ve never experienced a Reminisce, or just aren’t quite sure what it’s all about, this email we received from Matt C shortly after the last event should get you off to a good start.

“I personally have never experienced an atmosphere, a connectedness, happiness and love with so many people in one place as I did on saturday. The music was sooo good and got everyone on the exact same page. John Course had the crowd in the palm of his hand every step of the way. Hearing songs from Saturday gives me goosebumps taking me back to how incredible it felt on the day. I am so grateful to have got a taste of how good the feeling was and can only hope I get a chance to feel anything like it again.”

Sounds amazing, but what actually is it?

Glad you asked…

Put simply, it’s a countdown of the 50 best electronic music songs of all time.

All selected by the people who attend the event, via our unique voting system.

Throughout the voting process, you trawl through our list of 500 house songs, listening to them on the way if you like, and create your own shortlist. You can even add your own songs if they aren’t in the list.

Once you’ve selected your shortlist, you then trim it down to your top 5 and then place them in order, then submit your votes.

On the day, the songs are then played in a Top 50 countdown, starting at number 50 and counting down to the coveted number 1 song.

So in essence, Reminisce is all about Reminiscing the best days of your life, where all that mattered was the weekend or the next festival – whether that was 5, 10 or 15 years ago.

People come to Reminisce to immerse themselves in music, memories, moments and the Reminisce magic that really has to be experienced to be believed.

Check out the videos, live top 50 countdown recordings and 2020 voting shortlist on Spotify below…

Full Event Info & Entry Guidelines

Here’s all the important information you need to make your Reminisce experience the best it can possibly be!

Set Times

Sitemap

Below is the Live at the Bowl sitemap. Please familiarise yourself with toilet, bar, first aid, entry and exit locations. it will also be up at the event.

Event Information & Entry Guidelines

One of the main questions we are getting is about splitting tickets. Yes you can come separately from your friends in your deck, click here for the process.

The other one is what can and can’t you bring into the venue. Here’s a list:

What you can bring…

  • Empty bottles can be brought in and filled at any of our free water stations
  • Medications must be clearly labeled and in sealed/blister packs
  • Food as long as it’s in reasonable amounts (don’t bring catering for 50 people 😜). No hard shelled food containers allowed (eskys etc), they must be soft.
  • Roll-On Deodorant

Please leave at home…

  • Large bags (anything bigger than 30x30x30cm) will need to be cloaked. We recommend just bringing the essentials, so come prepared for a full day of fun outdoors but leave unnecessary items at home.
  • Liquids/Lotions/Sanitisers are not permitted inside the venue – Lip Balm and Lipstick/Makeup are permitted. There will be free sunscreen available on site from bars and First Aid as well.If in doubt best to leave it at home unless absolutely necessary.
  • Illegal Substances. There will be a police presence, so be aware of your rights.
  • Professional cameras of any kind (including go pros)
  • Glow sticks, Laser pointers, selfie sticks

𝗙𝗔𝗤’𝗦

We have put together an extensive list of FAQs here: www.reminisce.dj/faq

𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗

Remember, you aren’t confined to your private deck. You can move around to get drinks, visit friends, go to the bathroom, chill in the sun on the side of the hill, check out the food trucks, whatever you like.

The decks are just there to stop 5,000 people all squishing together.

Think of it as the same as usual, you just have your own private dance floor for when you are at your spot. There are also fold up chairs and drink holders on each deck if you want to use them

𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥

We have been BLESSED with amazing weather both days. The sun will be out and while the temp is going to be a perfect 27 degrees, it’s still important to slip slop slap. There will be free sunscreen available on site from bars and First Aid as well.

𝗙𝗢𝗢𝗗

Remember to eat something. Food can be ordered from your phone using the QR code on your table/deck. Order and pay for your food and you will be sent an SMS when it is ready.

🍦ps. Did you know the bars sell ice creams?

𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗬

All bars are cashless so make sure you’re not relying on cash to pay with. Gotta be packin’ that plastic!

𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗜𝗗

If you or a friend are feeling unwell, don’t wait until it’s really serious to go to First-Aid. The team are there for your safety and comfort, never to judge, so don’t feel embarrassed if you’re feeling a bit unwell and need to lie down.

Get Social

Full Reminisce 2021 Lineup Announced!

John Course

The man who has delivered all eight Reminisce countdowns and countless memories for house music fans around Australia and the world over the past 30 years will be back once again to take you through the Top 50 house songs of all time, as voted by you.

John Course drops Lovebirds – In The Shadows at Reminisce 2019

Feenixpawl

As usual Reminisce Fans, ask and you shall receive! After 2 years of you guys begging us to bring Feenixpawl back, after their epic 2019 set, we have done just that.

The Melbourne grown, US based duo who shot to global fame in 2012 after releasing their worldwide hit In My Mind alongside Ivan Gough, with a guy by the name of Axwell on the Remix are back to drop a monster set of classics once again. This time they’ll be getting us primed for the countdown, on right before the great man John Course.

Listen to Feenixpawl live at Reminisce 2019

Zoe Badwi

It was late 2008 when this dance-pop diva burst on to the scene with the huge club smash Release Me.

Produced by TV ROCK, it spent a massive 7 consecutive weeks in the #1 spot on the Australian ARIA Club Chart and scored both ARIA and APRA nominations, on the way to international acclamation from acts such at The Freemasons.

But in mid-2010, Zoë hit us with Freefallin’ – proving to be her finest moment yet. Fusing classic club beats from Australia’s own Denzal Park with powerful, heady vocal and anthemic keys, Freefallin’ is a dance-pop triumph.

In 2016 Zoë partnered with electro house sensations The Potbelleez to create the ultimate remake of the 1998 global hit Horny, written by Mousse T and with original vocals by Inaya Day. The rendition, release by Ministry of Sound went straight to the top of the Dance Music Charts.

Zoe will be joining Feenixpawl on stage, providing vocals for a selection of tracks, whipping the crowd into a frenzy and setting the perfect tone for the countdown to come, just as Sneaky Sound System did at Reminisce 2019.

Market Memories

Separately they are Sean Rault and Oliver James, two of Melbourne’s finest house and techno DJ’s that have been filling dance floors around the country since the early 00’s.

Together they are Market Memories, who from 2015 to 2018 steadily rose to one of Australia’s most in demand acts and in 2019, took the world by storm with their hits ‘A Good One’, ‘Two Good’ and ‘The Charm’.

Having been played by acts such as Camelphat, Patrick Topping and Denis Sulta at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Kappa Future and playing themselves at Beyond The Valley, Rainbow Serpent and Pitch, 2020 is set to be their biggest year yet.

Market Memories destroying the dance floor at Beyond The Valley 2020

Playing their fourth consecutive Reminisce, Sean and Oliver will be winding back the clock as usual, delivering a classics set that lends itself to their house music roots with a zealous load of energy that they are candidly known for.

Listen to Market Memories ‘Old But Not Forgotten’ Classics warm up mix they delivered ahead of Reminisce 2019.

Andy Murphy

Melbourne house music ambassador Andy Murphy allures summer vibes and soul-evoking records from his studio to dance-floors, all while powering influence within in the fashion world.

With a well-accomplished industry resume, this DJ and produce warms up gatherings under the sunset and straight to the clubs with a solid drop of future and tech house beats.

From Stereosonic and Falls Festival to iconic clubs within Australia and international spots like Lavo in New York, Andy murphy has struck a cord with house music enthusiasts.

Upon the pursuit for ultimate the party atmosphere, Andy Murphy holds a modern yet effortlessly energetic handle on house music, devoted to the reincarnation of such an epic global sound.

Presale Ticketing Tips – Onsale 11am Wed Feb 10

As you already know, the presale for 2020 ticket holders starts Wed Feb 10 at 11am (general public on sale 11am Fri Feb 12)

As you also know, things are a tad different this time, which is why it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you read the below tips on how to make your ticket purchasing experience as seamless as possible.

Firstly, here’s the sitemap and ticketing options again, and below that are the tips…

💥JUST ADDED: Some bonus tips straight up 💥

📣 Ignore any references to things like ‘fixed seating’ or ‘restricted view’ on the balcony tickets. It’s just Ticketek being Ticketek!

📣 Choosing your exact location on mobile is a bit tricky. We recommend using a desktop. However if you just choose say 4 stalls or 3 lawn decks for example, the system will automatically group them together.

Below are our top 7 tips, however we have created a very extensive FAQ Here which we also recommend reading.

📣 You can purchase up to 24 tickets in one transaction (4 decks of 6, 12 stalls of 2 etc) so you will be able to be with your friends!

*This excludes balcony tickets which are a maximum of 4 per transaction

📣 When you purchase tickets you can select the exact spot you want. We recommend doing this on a desktop / laptop because the small screen on mobile can make it difficult to see the small spots marked out on the screen. Check out the Piknic Electronik ticket page here to familiarise yourself with the process.

📣 To purchase more than one deck or table, select ONE from the dropdown and head through to the payment page, but before you check out click ADD TICKETS to go back and purchase another (limit of 24 total tickets per transaction).

📣 Tickets are purchased in set group numbers of 1, 2, 4 or 6, but that doesn’t mean you have to have that many people. For example if you have a group of 5, you can just buy a deck that fits up to 6 and just have your crew of 5 in there. It just means you’ll pay a little extra per person.

📣 Your presale link gives you full access to purchase tickets, you aren’t restricted to the same amount as you had for 2020, so you can bring friends into your group who weren’t 2020 ticket holders. If we had done it any other way, we’d have half full stalls and decks everywhere.

📣 You aren’t confined to your space at all. You can move around to get drinks, visit friends, go to the bathroom, chill in the sun on the side of the hill, check out the food trucks, whatever you like.

📣 Make sure you log onto Ticketek ahead of 11am, ensure you’ve got the right password and have a valid card set up in your account.

The Countdown is on!
