Feenixpawl

As usual Reminisce Fans, ask and you shall receive! After 2 years of you guys begging us to bring Feenixpawl back, after their epic 2019 set, we have done just that.

The Melbourne grown, US based duo who shot to global fame in 2012 after releasing their worldwide hit In My Mind alongside Ivan Gough, with a guy by the name of Axwell on the Remix are back to drop a monster set of classics once again. This time they’ll be getting us primed for the countdown, on right before the great man John Course.

Zoe Badwi

It was late 2008 when this dance-pop diva burst on to the scene with the huge club smash Release Me.

Produced by TV ROCK, it spent a massive 7 consecutive weeks in the #1 spot on the Australian ARIA Club Chart and scored both ARIA and APRA nominations, on the way to international acclamation from acts such at The Freemasons.

But in mid-2010, Zoë hit us with Freefallin’ – proving to be her finest moment yet. Fusing classic club beats from Australia’s own Denzal Park with powerful, heady vocal and anthemic keys, Freefallin’ is a dance-pop triumph.

In 2016 Zoë partnered with electro house sensations The Potbelleez to create the ultimate remake of the 1998 global hit Horny, written by Mousse T and with original vocals by Inaya Day. The rendition, release by Ministry of Sound went straight to the top of the Dance Music Charts.

Zoe will be joining Feenixpawl on stage, providing vocals for a selection of tracks, whipping the crowd into a frenzy and setting the perfect tone for the countdown to come, just as Sneaky Sound System did at Reminisce 2019.

Market Memories

Separately they are Sean Rault and Oliver James, two of Melbourne’s finest house and techno DJ’s that have been filling dance floors around the country since the early 00’s.

Together they are Market Memories, who from 2015 to 2018 steadily rose to one of Australia’s most in demand acts and in 2019, took the world by storm with their hits ‘A Good One’, ‘Two Good’ and ‘The Charm’.

Having been played by acts such as Camelphat, Patrick Topping and Denis Sulta at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Kappa Future and playing themselves at Beyond The Valley, Rainbow Serpent and Pitch, 2020 is set to be their biggest year yet.

Market Memories destroying the dance floor at Beyond The Valley 2020

Playing their fourth consecutive Reminisce, Sean and Oliver will be winding back the clock as usual, delivering a classics set that lends itself to their house music roots with a zealous load of energy that they are candidly known for.

Listen to Market Memories ‘Old But Not Forgotten’ Classics warm up mix they delivered ahead of Reminisce 2019.

Melbourne house music ambassador Andy Murphy allures summer vibes and soul-evoking records from his studio to dance-floors, all while powering influence within in the fashion world.

With a well-accomplished industry resume, this DJ and produce warms up gatherings under the sunset and straight to the clubs with a solid drop of future and tech house beats.

From Stereosonic and Falls Festival to iconic clubs within Australia and international spots like Lavo in New York, Andy murphy has struck a cord with house music enthusiasts.

Saturday SOLD OUT! + General Public Ticketing Tips

WOW! What a response from our existing ticket holders from 2020. The Saturday show is completely SOLD OUT.

We understand some people that wanted to attend the Saturday will be disappointed, however the existing ticket holders had to be given priority.

The general public sale for for the remaining Friday tickets for Reminisce 2021 starts tomorrow at 11am, right here at www.reminisce.dj (the button on the home page will change to the Ticketek link)

Remember, gates open at 4 however the countdown doesn’t start until 6 30, so there’s enough time to get down after work 🥳

Ahead of the onsale, it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you read the below tips on how to make your ticket purchasing experience as seamless as possible.

💥 NOTE: We have added some extra points based on a few issues that people had during the presale yesterday. We are in uncharted waters with this set up and therefore have some learnings to make things a bit smoother.

Firstly, here’s the sitemap and ticketing options again, and below that are the tips…

Learnings From The Presale

💥 There was some confusion around the Ticketek booking fees – There is a booking fee of around $6-$8 per person (depending on ticket type and amount). The price that you see on the Ticket page includes this fee. There is also a once off Ticketek transaction fee of $9.35 per transaction.

💥 We did everything in our power to allow people to group their decks with friends, however because of the huge amount of people going for the same spots, some were split up. We increased the max purchase from 1 deck to 4 due to overwhelming amount of enquiries prior to the sale, and this had never been done before in the current venue setup / purchasing system. So for the general public sale, we recommend choosing rows a couple back from what’s still available. The system puts ‘best available’ selections from front to back, so if you go a couple of rows back you’re more likely to get decks together. Also if you want to choose your exact spot, we highly recommend using a desktop instead of mobile to purchase.

General Ticketing Tips

Below are our top 4 tips, however we have created a very extensive FAQ Here which we also recommend reading.

📣 We recommend purchasing on a desktop / laptop because the small screen on mobile can make it difficult to see the small spots marked out on the screen. Check out the Piknic Electronik ticket page here to familiarise yourself with the process.

📣 To purchase more than one deck or table, select ONE from the dropdown and head through to the payment page, but before you check out click ADD TICKETS to go back and purchase another (limit of 24 total tickets per transaction).

📣 Tickets are purchased in set group numbers of 1, 2, 4 or 6, but that doesn’t mean you have to have that many people. For example if you have a group of 5, you can just buy a deck that fits up to 6 and just have your crew of 5 in there. It just means you’ll pay a little extra per person.

📣 You aren’t confined to your space at all. You can move around to get drinks, visit friends, go to the bathroom, chill in the sun on the side of the hill, check out the food trucks, whatever you like.

Presale Ticketing Tips – Onsale 11am Wed Feb 10

As you already know, the presale for 2020 ticket holders starts Wed Feb 10 at 11am (general public on sale 11am Fri Feb 12)

As you also know, things are a tad different this time, which is why it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you read the below tips on how to make your ticket purchasing experience as seamless as possible.

Firstly, here’s the sitemap and ticketing options again, and below that are the tips…

💥JUST ADDED: Some bonus tips straight up 💥

📣 Ignore any references to things like ‘fixed seating’ or ‘restricted view’ on the balcony tickets. It’s just Ticketek being Ticketek!

📣 Choosing your exact location on mobile is a bit tricky. We recommend using a desktop. However if you just choose say 4 stalls or 3 lawn decks for example, the system will automatically group them together.

Below are our top 7 tips, however we have created a very extensive FAQ Here which we also recommend reading.

📣 You can purchase up to 24 tickets in one transaction (4 decks of 6, 12 stalls of 2 etc) so you will be able to be with your friends!

*This excludes balcony tickets which are a maximum of 4 per transaction

📣 When you purchase tickets you can select the exact spot you want. We recommend doing this on a desktop / laptop because the small screen on mobile can make it difficult to see the small spots marked out on the screen.

📣 Your presale link gives you full access to purchase tickets, you aren’t restricted to the same amount as you had for 2020, so you can bring friends into your group who weren’t 2020 ticket holders. If we had done it any other way, we’d have half full stalls and decks everywhere.

📣 You aren’t confined to your space at all. You can move around to get drinks, visit friends, go to the bathroom, chill in the sun on the side of the hill, check out the food trucks, whatever you like.

📣 Make sure you log onto Ticketek ahead of 11am, ensure you’ve got the right password and have a valid card set up in your account.

Event Update – Tickets On Sale Delayed By One Week

This is a very important ticketing update for Reminisce 2021.

We have just now been advised that there has been a slight delay in the automatic refunding process for existing ticket holders from 2020.

Due to this fact, we have made the tough decision to delay the on sale for a week.

This is purely to allow enough time for their refunds to filter through before tickets go back on sale, and for people who need to update their card details to receive the refund to do so.

All current ticket holders have received an official email from Ticketek, with full refund details and information on how to update their card details if they need to.

New On Sale Dates

Current Ticket Holders Presale: 11am Wednesday Feb 10th

General Public On Sale: 11am Friday Feb 12th

Current 2020 ticket holders will receive an email at 10am Wednesday Feb 10th with the presale link.

Non 2020 ticket holders who are on our database will receive the General Public on sale link at 10am Friday Feb 12th. This will give you time to get set up ready to purchase at 11am.

To join our database and get on the priority list, please click here.

You can purchase up to 24 tickets at once (4 decks of 6 people etc). We had this increased as lots of people have large groups.

We understand that this hasn’t been a great experience for ticket holders, and now non ticket holders too, however please know that we have done everything in our power to make it as frictionless as possible.

We’ve all been working round the clock here at Reminisce HQ.

We appreciate your understanding in these strange and unprecedented times.

On March 19 and 20, John Course will be counting down your Top 50 House songs of all time, with two separately voted countdowns.

With a massive 727 days between Reminisce’s, we’re putting on two shows that need to be seen to be believed.

The crowd capacity may be a little smaller, but the production is much, much bigger.

The biggest and best Reminisce shows ever to say goodbye to covid is not just what Melbourne wants, but what Melbourne needs.

So strap on your dancing shoes, it’s time to etch some more memories in the history books 🥳

As you most likely already know, Reminisce 2021 is part of the Live at the Bowl series of COVID-safe events at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl this summer.

The venue is set up in a way that can handle outbreaks and active cases in the community, with many events already being held there. So you can be rest assured the events will be going ahead.

And after being to several of the Piknic Electronik events ourselves, we can safely say that for Reminisce, the new layout is actually better.

You guys are always asking us for more VIP options like booths and tables.

Well, now you have it!

The entire venue is set up with VIP booths and tables.

Think of it as the same as usual, but you just have your own little dance floor with friends, instead of trying to dance on a grass hill or in between seats.

You aren’t confined to your space. You can move around to get drinks, visit friends, go to the bathroom, chill in the sun on the side of the hill, check out the food trucks, whatever you like.

We’ve created a web page where you can capture the vibe of the new venue layout, all thanks to our friends at Piknic Electronik Melbourne.

Check it out here

Ticketing Options

There are now A LOT more ticketing options available 😊 As mentioned, this is a dream setup for Reminisce. You can also choose the exact position of your table or deck.

Tickets are purchased in set group numbers of 2, 4 or 6, but that doesn’t mean you have to have that many people.

For example if you have a group of 5, you can just buy a deck that fits up to 6 and just have your crew of 5 in there. It just means you’ll pay a little extra per person.

Please see the venue map below for all of the different ticketing options.

Voting

Voting will open on Feb 17 and close on March 10

Each show will have its own voting link and own countdown. This is to avoid any spoilers from those who attend the Friday show.

Join the priority list and be the first of the general public to receive the ticket link ➔ bit.ly/rem-priority-list

(current ticket holders will receive a separate link 48 hours before)

More Information

We have put together a fairly extensive FAQ here.

Ahead of the on sale, it’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the ticket buying process. To do this, head over to the Piknic Electronik ticket page which is currently on sale.

You’ll see the interface where you can select your exact spot and purchase your tickets.

We’ve missed saying this.

EVENT UPDATE – With Good News!

With the current COVID-19 restrictions in place, we were obviously unable to hold the event on the 31st of October.

But that’s where the bad news stops 🎵💃🏼🙌🏼

So please read the below carefully…

Arts Centre Melbourne have announced a ‘Live At The Bowl’ summer series of COVID-safe events running from January to March.

Reminisce is one of those events.

See the full press release from Arts Centre Melbourne here.

We currently have Saturday 20th of March 2021 reserved at The Bowl for Reminisce.

All tickets for the 2020 event will remain valid for the new date.

If you have a ticket, we strongly advise you to hold onto it for now as there’s a chance that no more will be made available if we have to run at a reduced capacity.

If you don’t have a ticket and are interested in attending, you can join the waiting list here: http://bit.ly/reminisce-waiting-list

You will then have first access to any more tickets that are made available.

You can still request a refund at any time. If you wish to do so just head to the Ticketek page and fill out the form.

Before we wrap up, let’s jump forward to March 20th for a second…

The sun is setting on the hill at The ‘Bowl on a nice 27 degree March afternoon, then Coursey walks out and drops #50……..The place erupts.

How. Good. Is. This. Going. To. Be.

Reminisce Melbourne 2020 – Official Statement

Please read all of the below information carefully.

It is with heavy hearts that we confirm the rescheduling of Reminisce this Saturday due to COVID-19 health concerns.

As we stated on Friday, the safety of our patrons is our absolute number one priority, which is why we, in conjunction with Arts Centre Melbourne, our artists [including 2 French DJs] and key stakeholders, have come to this decision.

We want to ensure we provide you the full Reminisce experience and that everyone feels 100% safe at the event. In light of the developments late last week and over the weekend, we would not have been able to deliver the experience that Reminisce fans deserve to receive.

The new event date will be Saturday October 31st 2020. All current tickets will remain valid for the new date.

All ticket holders will receive an email from Ticketek in the next 72 hours, please be patient whilst waiting for this email as they are currently dealing with a very large amount of rescheduled shows. Should you not be able to attend on the new date, please follow the instructions in the Ticketek email to process a refund.

We are all as heartbroken as you are that we won’t be at The ‘Bowl on Saturday. However we can assure you of one thing. With months of extra planning, we are going to go to the next level with the production of this show. It’s going to be a celebration of epic proportions to kick off next summer.

Again, we also greatly appreciate the patience and understanding of all of you, especially those planning to travel from out of town. We understand the inconvenience this has all caused for everyone involved – from ticket holders to volunteers, staff and stakeholders.

The countdown to October 31 is on!

🎵THIS SATURDAY 🎵

We’ve also been in discussions with John Course over the weekend, who has generously offered to live stream a 3 hour classics set from his house on Saturday from 7-10pm. This will stream on the DJ JOHN COURSE and Reminisce Events Facebook pages + more TBC 🚀

The set will be a wall to wall mashup of the best tunes from John’s 30 years in the house scene. You’ll definitely be hearing plenty of Reminisce favourites, plus a stack of other house classics.

Whilst we can’t all Reminisce as one at The ‘Bowl, we can all Reminisce as one with our best mates, at our own houses.

Stay tuned for full details on this in the next few days.

Be safe out there.

Team Reminisce

Important Event Update

In light of the government’s announcement today, we would first like to reiterate that the safety of our patrons is our absolute number one priority.

Due to the most recent developments around mass gatherings, we are now speaking to artists, agents, stakeholders and everyone involved with putting on both the Melbourne and Sydney events.

We will be making a full statement to all patrons on Monday 16th of March.

Since we started Reminisce in our backyard 9 years ago, we have always been a brand of the people. Many of you have been with us from day 1. To those people, to those of you who have never been to a Reminisce and to everyone in between, we ask for your patience on this matter.

We appreciate your understanding on the many moving parts involved in the event that we need to work through such as the venue, artists, agents etc.

Stay tuned Monday.
